Review: Beauty of Essence

Holla! brush brush brush!! heard lots and lots of stuff about the CVS beauty of Essence brushes! I've been waiting for a sale and finally they had buy one get one half off ( I couldn't wait for the BOGO ). I got the double ended brushes and the travel set.

They are super soft, who wants to use a prickly brush right?

I use the Foundation & Conceal brush (middle) the most. I use the bigger end for highlights on the checks. I used it for foundation but I noticed that I had to use a lot more product with this brush compare to the 187. So I'm sticking to the 187! the conceal end is good for (duh) concealing. Did I already mention that it's REALLY soft?

The Blending & Eye Shadow brush (top) They are kinda big? so I can't really use neither end to apply color. You can't see it in the picture but one end is a "flat" top. I don't see how that is good for blending. I don't this use much but it is really soft.

Blush & Powder brush (bottom), I don't really own an angle blush brush, so this is nice. The other end is kinda small. I can't really use this to apply blush but used it to just touch up spot where I think I should have more color.


The Travel Set! Don't they look like the Bobbi Brown brush set?

Powder, Blush, Eye Shadow, Eyeliner, smudge and Concealer brush.

These are really tiny. The powder brush is more like a blush brush and I can only use the blush brush to maybe highlighting my cheeks. The eyeshadow brush is similar to the double ended concealer brush but just less poofy, like it's flatter (I like this one more). ekk I haven't tried the eyeliner brush yet. I actually use a lip liner brush for my eyeliner =/ it works great for me. Eh I haven't tried the smudge brush either. The concealer brush is also similar to the double ended brush. It's just a little bit flatter.


Edit: I currently use the blush brush ( second from left ) for the Stila convertible colors. I carry it in my purse. LOVE it.

Review: Seche Vite Top Coat

Hello everyone! OMG .. you have to try this top coat. I didn't think anything like this existed because it's way to good to be true.

Do you want amazing, perfect nail every other week but hate waiting around for your nail color to dry? do you hate it when it chips after only 4 days? even with Essie or OPI nail polish. My my let me introduce you to Seche Vite top coat!

haha ok I had to use my infomercial voice. Anywho, please give this a try. When you apply the top coat it looks a little thick but it will dry in like ONE minute and you will have perfect nails! for at least a full week and half.

ok. Maybe I should have a rating system?

I got mine at Sally's Beauty for around $4 but you can get it at Duane Reade but it's around $8- $9. I know I know 9 bucks? but it's worth it. I don't have a Sally's Beauty near me but when I run out I will pay 9 bucks for it.

I've also tried top coats from Essie and OPT. I even paid $11 for Nail Tek 10- Speed drying drops. That didn't work for me. Hmm I think I might do a video on this.

Birthday Celebration ( 2 months later ... )

Hello All, yes two months ago was my 28th ... no no 27th birthday. I must say I had a lot of fun.. felt really really special... No really I did.. Thanks to Eddie, Neil and Angie. It felt nice. I LOVE YOU GUYS!! Don't move!

Now Eddie (the bf), Neil and Angie lives relatively close by each other so most of the time presents were given at home. So naturally I didn't think I would get my presents that night. Ohh boi.. did I get presents that night...

Yum O My first Red Velvet from Magnolia! the one by Lincoln Center. We also watched Avatar 3-D that night.

Earlier that night we wanted to dine at Yakitori Totto for my second time.. =( unfortunately I'll have to try a third time. The wait was too long and we had tickets for Avatar. Yes.. that thing on my head was necessary. It was really cold.
Went to Japas next door for dinner and opened my present!!
Haha .. yes me hugging the camera box! Eddie got me a DSLR! I was surprised... well sorta surprised. I knew it was a camera or a netbook. I would be happy with either.

you see that SMILE?? It's because Neil and Angie got me a netbook!! Yeah crazy right? totally had no idea, absolutely NO idea. I would show you their pictures but Neil told me please no. So sorry guys maybe later.
